Valentine’s Day Taunting: End Emotional Terrorism
Valentine’s Day?! Did he say valentine’s day? Yeah that’s right
SoulPollers I brought it up. I know I’m late with it but I figured now that it’s over with, by a few weeks, I thought we could discuss it without being so emotional.
Now having said that, Valentine’s Day Sucks!! Why! It sucks primarily because of Valentine’s day Taunting ! Yes, that is correct Valentine’s Day Taunting. Don’t act like you don’t know what I mean. For those that don’t know here are some examples. “Oh look what my man got me for Valentine’s Day”. “Oooh girl he bought me those red bottoms”. “Awww he’s so sweet he sent me 400 roses to my job”. Y’all need to cut the boasting and bragging. It’s ruining relationships all across America unnecessarily.
I believe these comments are “taunts” to women. They might not admit it but that is what they are doing. What they are really saying is “my man loves me more than your man loves you”. 
The results of this are angry women going back home to their men and creating drama because she is now unsatisfied with the relationship, because she now feels that her man does not love her enough. As a result most men have developed a disdain towards the concept of Valentine’s Day.
These are my five main reasons why men hate V’s Day.
1. Because the truth is “V’s Day” is merely a marketing tactic to play on feminine emotions to cause men to spend millions of dollars annually. So men feel like helpless victims to the ” emotional terrorism” that women display on V’s day.
2. If men don’t do anything on that day they are all of a sudden accused of being selfish jerks or accused of not caring or having no love for her at all.
3. Men are forced to be in “financial” competition to prove he loves his woman more than any other man loves his woman and it is not reciprocated.
4. It is supposed to be a “lovers holiday” but it has become a day solely for women. Shout outs to women who treat their men on that day.
5. It is also considered a day for women because men, by nature, could give a damn about some Valentine’s Day. It is not in our DNA to care about receiving chocolate, teddy bears, and dinner by candle light.Therefore he is acting outside of his nature if he is playing along with the V’s Day concept.
So stop the taunting. That’s so “High School”. This behavior perpetuates and escalates low self esteem, angst, anger, jealousy, envy,disappointment and broken hearts. It is making people crazy. Let’s instead be humble and keep our gifts and joy down a notch to spare someone else any angst, sadness, and or hurt feelings.. We swear we’re grown, but do childish $#&@, just because we did, or didn’t, get a Valentine’s gift. Wow you are 30 + and you still get mad you didn’t get a gift. X-mas and V’s Day are for kids. If we are true “SoulPollers” we have to take an honest look and say you know what I am done with the childish”BS” games. We must give up the taunting, emotional terrorism, and desist on the fasle accusations of people not caring enough. “True Love” cannot be expressed solely on just one day of the year.
So in closing maybe if we stop the “taunting” maybe we can get the men who hate valentine’s day to participate happily, and willingly. If so maybe the world could be a better place,at least on that day.
